Cain Velasquez vs dos Santos & Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir

Cain Velasquez vs dos Santos & Brock Lesnar vs Frank Mir. What are UFC 121 fighters’ future UFC assignments? Next UFC bouts of nearly all UFC 121 fighters – winner and losers- have been tentatively decided by the promotion. The historic UFC 121 event found several highly interesting bouts at the Honda Center, Anaheim, California.

Cain Velasquez, the best performer of UFC 121 may be taking on the Brazilian fighter Junior Dos Santos in his next UFC appearance. Velasquez, a Mexican-American mixed martial art fighter dominated a giant in heavyweight division, Brock Lesnar at UFC 121.

For Velasquez, though pulling out Lesnar at UFC 121 bout to become first Mexican descent to claim a heavyweight title, a fight against Santos will not be a cakewalk. He might have to sweat a lot to find a victory over the Brazilian.

On other hand, Lesnar, an unexpected loser of UFC 121 is expected to face Frank Mir III in his next UFC event. However, reports later said Lesnar’s camp wanted a fight over Roy Nelson, because the fighter was not interested in a third UFC heavyweight fight over Mir III. Lesnar and Mir III had previously taken on two times in UFC – UFC 81 and UFC 100. Both the fighter had one victory each in those fights.

Jake Shields, a debutant at UFC 121 may possibly get an opponent from Koscheck or St. Pierre for his next UFC bout. Martin Kampmann, loser to Shields at UFC 121 may want to acquire some more skills before finding an opponent in Fitch, Koscheck or St. Pierre. Kampmann has definitely done a good job in defending a jiu-jitsu fighter like Shields at UFC 121.

For Matt Hammill, who dominated his former mentor Tito Ortiz at UFC will get Nogueira or Griffin as next UFC opponent. Meanwhile, Ortiz is in a worse state. He was struggling without a win in heavyweight division for last five years.
